Gutter Hanger Styles And Spacing And Why It Matters

When choosing a seamless gutter contractor, amongst other things, you should ask what kind of hanger systems they use and the hanger spacing they use in the gutters. This is crucial to the longevity of your gutters and the functionality of your gutters. Furthermore, a very common mistake seamless gutter contractors make is not backing each hanger screw out slightly. This allows the gutters to flex slightly during temperature extremes. In most climates, the proper spacing between each gutter hanger should be no more than 2 ft apart regardless if you are installing 5″ or 6″ seamless gutters.
All hangers are not created equal. At Martin’s we only use high quality Raytec Hidden Hangers that are superior to all others in our experience. Quality materials and workmanship are of the utmost importance to us and should be for every gutter contractor on every gutter installation.
